Editorial
For more than twenty years, Levy Barragan has been engaged in the fields of journalism and publishing. She has served as editor of numerous publications, including books and magazines for the corporate and government sectors.
She is the General Director of Levy & Socios, an independent publishing house that brings together a multidisciplinary team of professionals—designers, copy editors, and scriptwriters—dedicated to the development of high-quality editorial projects.
She is the creator of the collective book series Women Who Inspire, which includes From the Women of Querétaro to the World (Mexico), Connections (Montreal), and Women Without Limits (Manitoba).
She founded and currently directs Spotlight Montreal (www.spotlightmontreal.ca), a trilingual digital platform that showcases initiatives and activities within the entrepreneurial, social, business, industrial, and tourism sectors in both Montreal and Mexico.
A member of the World Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE) since 2008, she served as President of the Querétaro–Mexico chapter during the periods 2014–2018 and 2020–2021. During her tenure, she acted as promoter and co-organizer of the 21st AMMPE World Congress, Women, the Other Half of History, held in October 2014, which brought together 67 women journalists and writers from several AMMPE-affiliated countries.
In 2023, she actively promoted the establishment of AMMPE Canada and currently serves as Vice President of this chapter.
